My friend's daughter is 3 years old and has some light, but noticeable hair above her lip. Kids at her daycare tease her on a daily basis. She was found at the bathroom sink one evening with a wash cloth and soap and told her mommy she was trying to "wash it off her face." What can she do?

Maybe laser hair removal ? don't know if the other stuff is safe to use on kids.

Her skin maybe too sensitive for waxing, bleaching or hair removal.

Aww, that's terrible. Well considering she's 3, waxing is out of the question. But if your friend was willing to take some extreme measures, she could lighten the hair. Maybe the mother should talk to the day care people...they should not be allowing this to go on.

I'd suggest seeing a doctor as im guessing she was born with more testoserone than usual. Doctors can perscribe something that will balance her hormones.. this will also help her in later life. Going on the pill dianette when shes old enough might also help. I've heard that spearmint can stop the growth - calmomile n spearmint tea before bed might be a good option. I personally like the taste.. but it might take some getting used to.

ahh bless her. my 5 year old daughter is quite hairy in lots of places, and my 2 yr old would have a visible moustache too but it's fair! I would ask about hair bleaching, not removal as it will grow back thicker! if it's that bad! Perhaps a chemist could advise you! Good luck!

You shouldn't really do anything. Ive had the same thing when I was little. that because I'm Asian and black. when she grows up shes going to grow out of it. and don't try shaving it because I tried shaving and it got bushy.

If you shave it, it'll come in thicker and coarser than the baby fuzz it is now. I would say just let it go and let her learn how to ignore and stand up to these kids.However, it facial hair continues to be an issue, I would consult a doctor - there are a couple of hormonal concerns that might need looked at.

If you want a quick fix, use a lotion that will remove the roots, too. Your pharmacist will be able to recommend one that will be safest for kids and faces.

I belive with time the hair will grow thicker.

& that will be worse with the time.

Just have your friend take her daughter to her doctor.

Do not use surgi cream on her face.Baby's faces are to sensitive to strong creams like that.Get one of the mens or ladies Micro touch precision groomer.It is a size of a ball point pen.It will take the hair off and no matter what she does it will not cut her. Plus like wax it won't leave her face raw or red. You can find these things at Wal Mart in the men shaving area. It works great. Good luck Plus I use it and my hair on my face does not grow back darker or coarser. I been doing it for 30 years.
