...i kinda was, i worked at a hotel and this guy came in and demanded the cash...i didn't feel threatened so i said "no"....i kinda thought it was a joke cause some co-workers were staying there that night...but after saying "no, you're gonna need a weapon to make me...so he jerks off the ski mask (he has gorgeous brown curly hair) and he says "ok"

no kidding, my boss got really mad the next day & made me make a police report...

Yes. Been robbed -- had my apartment broken into... my car broken into... and had a "friend" steal my housekeys once and tried to rob my house when I was a kid.

been mugged once. they muggers were really stupid i think, (and so was i). they were clearly following me and i walked into a deserted place. then they made me turn out pockets etc. i pulled out a dollar, then one guy punched me in the cheek (didn't even hurt), then another grabbed the dollar and ran off. the thing was, they actually ripped the dollar in half when they ran away. i turned up fine.

The car I was in was highjacked in the city. We were all dosed up too and had to go to the police station tripping our nutz off and file a report. Sucked asss, never saw that Honda again.

Yes, when I was 17. I worked in a card shop and a guy came in with a gun and demanded we open the register. Then he took us to the back room and made us remove our pants so he could get away. It was the single most terrifying event of my life.

Yes, our home was robbed, only of all of our electronic equipment, phones, stereo's and the works....but you will never know who was caught!! Because of our ID on all of our equipment, when they found a ring of thieves plus all the 'stuff' in a home about 50 miles from our place, it was discovered that the thieves all came from a school for the 'deaf ' school about 90 miles from the discovery home. This is a true story and took place in approximately 1986. We went to court and as witnesses had to identify our belongings (which were kept in a police cell until the trial and we had our picture taken with our 'stuff), and it was the quietest court room we have ever been in.

We were also robbed at the same location a couple of years previous which was much scarier...the robbers left our Heinkel knife on the dresser in the bedroom . We suspected they may have used it if they were surprised...that time a fur coat, money, and a special coin collection was taken.

We also had our car broken into but nothing was taken, since they were after the stereo system and could not get it out. They by passed the alarm system some how.

Our home was the last home in a rather sheltered area of the city along a government electrical thoroughfare.

That was no robbery it was a flirtation! Being robbed goes like this ---You get grabbed (usually from behind) or accosted from the front at gun point or a knife. Then they'll say give me your purse, wallet, earrings, wedding band, or I'll cut you, stab you, punch you, shoot you, or rape you, or a combination

of all the above, and do as I say and you better not scream, now THAT'S a robbery, believe me I KNOW! This is not even to mention the house (my daughter) and my garage, where they even stole my lawn mower (gang of kids)

The first type of robbery at gun point is of course the worst, you become so terrified you might do like I did stay in the house for a couple of weeks! The second type "home invasion" pisses you off SO much you could kill them!

My daughter has a drug problem and has stolen everything but the kitchen sink,and each time I try to forgive her I become more angry and more hurt and I really don't know which one most, but like I said, you were really not held up or robbed "THIS TIME!)

I wasn't actually 'robbed' as the individual didn't have a weapon but was instead mugged I suppose, as I was studying with someone from school for an exam, and I'm almost positive that she took my book since she almost placed my book in her bookbag not long before. I walked out of the room to get something and then came back and it wasn't until she left my house that I noticed it was gone. I called her and said that perhaps she put my book in her bag 'by mistake' or inadvertently, and she said that it wasn't in there. Well, I suppose that I just had too much naivete'.

yes, twice, yeah... twice. once, i was working part time as a pizza delivery worker and it was really dark in front of this house, but i got out anyways (stupid me) and this dude comes up to me screaming to give him my money. so i did. he put a gun to my head. i told him i had a kid and he could take anything he wanted, just please don't hurt me. then, he took my cell phone and threw it in my back seat. i guess he was doing me a "favor" by giving it back. then, my house got broken into about 2 months ago. they tore my house up really bad, but only took my camcorder. weird....
