honestly i'd be willing to bet i've been depressed more often than most "emo" people yet i dont go by a certain group's guidlines of dressing and acting, i do my own thing, i also deal with depression in a normal and healthy way

in conclusion i think they're funny bc they all look exactly the same and are in actuality fake

I just think the emo style is stupid, it stole everything from the styles before. It has not done anything interesting or new. On top of that the emos cant understand why people dont like their music. Then if you explain why you dont like their stupid music they go act stupid and childish.(Ex. Some great musical artists are depressing(The Cure,Morrissey, Joy Division) but they had talent, they did something new, they didnt try to sound like all the other bands. When they wrote depressing songs, they actually meant what they wrote.

people see you as a person who is hell bent on not conforming when really emo is just another trend now and technically your are conforming.

I have depression problems myself, but I deal with them, I do not continue down the path of this depression, I deal with it, by changing the way I think or changing one of my actions.. Life is what you make of it.. I do not like being depressed and I hate it when I see others depressed, but to be depressed on purpose, is fake and stupid and it is probabley just going to put you down in life..

EMO is short for Emotional.. I like emotions, I think it is what makes us human, without them we are merely robots... We are all sad, depressed, happy at points in our life.. I generally look on the bright, sunny and spiritual side of life, and by looking at this side of life, it normally keeps me happy, I find power metal, my favorite style of music, it is really uplifting when I listen to it, it gives me a boost and puts me on the side of life I want to be on, puts me in a good mood, is this EMO? Why yes it is...... But, I just don't see why I would want to purposly be depressed and listen to any depressing music at all.. So, I am going to get back to head-banging now and singing my favorite hymns, I am going to sing it loud and proudly, I am going to go to close my eyes and go into a trance of escapism from a miserable world, this, is what keeps me from being depressed..
