Moms? Does anyone else get the itch on a Friday night still?

I know we all love our children, but just once in a while do you yearn for a wild night out like before you had kids? Just to let your hair down and feel like a sexy woman once again?

I feel the same way but usually on a Saturday night, which for me is tonight. I am going out with friends in the city for the first time since my son was born (he is 3 1/2) and I'm so excited!! I am a single mum so it really kills me when i know that my friends are going out and i can't. But tonight it is my turn and I'm so nervous that i feel a bit sick!! Didn't mean to make you jealous just thought i would share!!

Just because you are a mom does not mean you have to fit that "stereotypical" mother role... get a babysitter ask parents/relatives to watch the baby for a weekend and have fun! Its still life... I hate that OTHERS tell me how I should act now that I am a mom... I am not going to do anything totally crazy... or party all the time... I turn out like Britney Spears... I think we need a night to ourselves just for us once in awhile!! You go girl and have a night of fun! Get a babysiter lol :)

Oh, yeah!! I think every mother does. Who wouldn't want to feel like a sexy, desirable woman for a little while as opposed to being "Mom" all the time??

I never was one to have a Friday night itch. However, as a mother of 4 under the age of 8 I realize now that I would be so happy with 15 minutes of solitude.

My husband and I now try and plan our vacations in places where we can leave the kids with family for a little while and grab a quiet meal and a NAP! lol

Dont feel bad or guilty..every mom loves to get out and let it all hang loose and if they say they dont they are liars!!! No one wants to get old and having children can really make you feel like time is flying by. In order to feel young you need to act young once in a while. You are only as old as you feel. I know being 25 and having children can be stressful. All parents need to get away. I love to have some drinks now and then and I feel much better going out away from the kids rather than be at home with them while I have my fun..

Oh my goodness - we're still women :) of course we do!! Having children doesn't take away your womanhood, it enhances it and it makes it even more important that you continue to feel sexy!! Get a sitter and line up a hot date with your hubby! Go dancing like you did in college (invite some friends) and by all means, have a drink (but be responsible!!!).

My husband and I still LOVE to dance and are thrilled every time we are invited to a wedding (open bar/dancing -ha) and most people would consider us to be conservative christian parents - again, that doesn't mean we've lost our desire to have fun or that I've lost my desire to be beautiful!! :)

Well, I guess I'm lucky because my daughter goes with her father every other weekend, so I still occasionally get time to go out and be crazy!

But every once in a while, driving home on a Friday night, I see carloads of girls all dressed up in their club gear and I think...why can't I do that tonight?!

My mom still goes out EVERY Friday night with her friends. I mean clubbing, not to a dinner or something as you'd expect of a 4o something year old!! It can be quite embarrassing at times but oh well!! She's been going out since 6weeks after the birth of each of us (me and my 2 sisters)

Yup. I was never a "party girl" but I miss late night movies and long lingering dinners at really nice restaurants. It's hard to feel "sexy" when you are too tired to put on your makeup, arrange for a babysitter, stay up late..... Oh well. There will be time for that again. They do grow up (too quickly!!)

i know i'm lame

but the main itch i get these days on a saturday night is to go to sleep. as early as possible.

more power to those of you with more energy!

Quite alot of the time but if i do go out i feel really guilty. i think 'the money could have been spent on the kids instead' even though they dont need anything! :)
