As a hairstylist, I can say that in past years, it is the interesting gifts I always remember..... Once someone got me a hand blown ornament, another time it was a gift card to my favorite restaurant. In all honesty, you need not spend a fortune, just a little something to show that you thought of her is a perfect gift. A nice bottle of wine, a hand written card with a little extra tip in it. umm... a gift certificate is always nice. if you know a local place she likes to go eat on her lunch break. Or a gift certificate to a place like Sephora is awesome-if you don't have one in your area you can get an e-certificate so she can shop at sephora.com...it has any beauty-makeup-womanly thing you can find, I could look at the stuff on that sight forever. If she doesn't seem like she would like any of that, a gift basket with like a nice robe or slippers, a pretty mug, and some flavored coffees, or cocoa would be nice, maybe even a dvd if she said she liked a particular movie-for a nice relaxing evening

I get flowers, candles, frames, chocolates,winter scarves and gloves, big tips, photo albums, lovely cards, all kinds of things. Last year my favorite gift was a fun lunch box. My client put movie passes inside. To tell you the truth, we are usually so excited to be remembered and appreciated any little thing will do. I had one client hot glue little buttons that looked like hairdryers, combs, mirrors, shears, etc onto a business card holder. It was kind of cheesy but I was so proud of it! One very thoughtful client brought me a basket full of microwaveable popcorn, energy drinks, bottled water, soup, granola bars, crackers, all stuff I could use for lunch or snacks on my busiest days. That was a truly great gift and one I've done for co-workers as a secret santa. I'm sure anything you do will please her. My co-workers and I are most always left speechless at the kindness our clients show during the holidays. No small thing for a hairdresser.
