and that was the first and only expansion pack I have, so I got some other features, like turn on and turn offs, influence meter and stuff other than just clothes.

Well when I had this kid, he had that hair cut thats like a middle part, with a little hair hanging down in his face.

When he grew up into a teenager, his hair changed into something that I dont have on my game!

Is this a new feature because I really liked his hair

It's either a secret hairstyle (the H&M pack has some secret outfits and styles that get unlocked randomly as you play), or it's a style from an expansion pack released between the original Sims 2 and H&M stuff. You can always go back and change his hair if you don't like the new style! :-)

sometimes u get new things without knowing it. it could be because u kept ur sim happy and gave him wut he wanted. often check ur items to see wut new things u got. also u can buy new things with ur point (totally free). u earn points by keeping ur sim happy and geting him/her wut he/she wants

It likely was a new feature, they add things like that from time to time in the expansion/stuff packs. Makes for a nice change from the standard hairstyles, especially when it is a surprise!
