Short hair.. I know this is a very vain question?

Well I just had a baby and have not quite lost all of my baby weight. I am one of those people that you cannot "pinch an inch" on my stomach but ..I have some serious hips and thighs. Like size small shirts but size 8 pants plus too kids have really made those hips grow.. anyway I have been toying with the idea of a short haircut (not a boycut but right at my chin) but I have heard that this will make my hips just look bigger? I have a thin face and upper body? Is this true? Please no snide remarks I know it's a silly question but I just wanted some opnions

THis is not a vain question at all. A shoulder length hair style,,,layered and fluffed out will take from looking down and up at your hair and even out the big and small. One problem with this is it will take time to fluff out...and your are short on time.....you can still layer it...add mousse and blow dry your hair upside down to make it full..this will eliminate the curling iron and still give you the fullness you need.

Most men will say they prefer longer hair - I for one love my wifes long hair.

BUT - On some women short hair can be quite attractive.

It totally depends on your facial structure, type of hair, colouring etc...

Just do it - your hair can always grow back.

how can your hair make your butt look bigger, thats totally insane, you need lyposuction, just do what you like to your hair, the hair cut only affects your face shape, your ears, eyes and so on and can affect the look of your neck if you havent exposed it for a long time, however short hair is easier when you have kids. hugs gal, just go for the gusto and size 8 is damn skinny, i wear a 26.

If you have a thin face a short hair cut will suit you. It has nothing to do with hips.

If a person with a chubby face cut the hair short it would make the person look fat.

A low-tech way to do this is to cut out a picture of yourself, trimming closely to your head and body, and then use yarn or paper-cut-outs to try different silhouettes on yourself. That way, you can tell if a bigger shirt or bigger hair will help with the balance problem.

I don't think a short haircut going to make your hips look bigger. Did your husband tell you that? Most guys likes long hair on their women.

I don't consider a size 8 pants big but each to their own. Get the haircut if you look good in that style. Slim your legs and hip with a lot of walking. And don't worry too much about your hip...just enjoy your children and life.

I prefer my hair long, BUT I have always liked short styles...tried it ...didn't work for me but if you're a size 8 I'm sure it'll look great. There is nothing big about size 8, this coming from a size 20.

First of all, its really okay to be vain. Everyone is, so you don't have to worry about that.

Well in my opinion, a short hair (shoulder length or shorter) will not make you look slimmer. I suggest you have long straight hair. Generally, it will give you a slimmer frame whatever your face shape is.

No it will not make your thighs look bigger! Chin length hair only pronounces the face more, so people with a naturally round or chubby face will not look good with a chin length style. If you have a naturally thin or oval face it'll look wonderful.
